Although watching films and TV programs alone has become increasingly common, I believe it is a negative development overall. This preference can be attributed to the popularity of streaming services, greater freedom to choose content, and increasingly busy schedules that make shared viewing less practical. While watching alone offers greater flexibility and enables people to enjoy entertainment at their own pace, watching with family or friends creates opportunities for meaningful conversation, strengthens relationships, and builds lasting memories. As people spend more time consuming entertainment in isolation, they may gradually lose valuable chances for face-to-face interaction. Therefore, despite its convenience, this trend is more harmful than beneficial.
